The Parade

We went to a Shriner's Parade today. It was fun. We carried folding chairs and lunch right up the street and had an awesome afternoon. We love living in town. We have enjoyed so many things we would have never taken the time to do otherwise.

Date NIght

Last night Joe and I successfully doled out both kids to the grandparents and set out for some romantic fun. Neither of us had plans for what we were going to do and that was a little disappointing. We figured, however, we would drive up to Bangor have dinner and maybe catch a movie. . . Little did we know we would be seduced by http://www.speedway95racing.com/
It was sooooo much fun. On the way to Bangor we passed this beat up old car on a trailer. It said "Wacky Wednesday" (which is exactly what yesterday turned out to be.) So, we followed it to the raceway, ate dinner at Dysarts truckstop and settled in for some good redneck fun :)~
My sweetie sure knows how to show a girl a good time...

Fishing

Well, Jack has been exposed to the virus of fishing. Joe, Dad and Jack went out for some male bonding on Monday and all 3 of them caught fish. Jack looks so serious. It kills me how fast he is growing up...

The Wall

Joe has been very busy working on a granite retaining wall in front of our new home. It is a lot of work. All of the chipping is done by hand and so far it is looking great!

The Zoo

We visited the Acadia Zoo today.

It was actually a lot of fun. Jack had no idea it was really small. He did notice however, that it was stinky:) Rakeleigh was so content to ride on my back the entire time. Mom came with us too. Here are some pics...

Rakeleigh

This is my girlie girl in training. . . . except I don't know who is training her... She talks all the time. She loves purses, hats and shoes but she's not afraid to get dirty. I think we will be ok.
Just this week she has decided she doesn't want to go to sleep anymore. I've tried holding, rocking, letting her cry it out but she is just fighting nap and bed. I guess she just has things to do.
