The Parade

We went to a Shriner's Parade today. It was fun. We carried folding chairs and lunch right up the street and had an awesome afternoon. We love living in town. We have enjoyed so many things we would have never taken the time to do otherwise.

Date NIght

Last night Joe and I successfully doled out both kids to the grandparents and set out for some romantic fun. Neither of us had plans for what we were going to do and that was a little disappointing. We figured, however, we would drive up to Bangor have dinner and maybe catch a movie. . . Little did we know we would be seduced by http://www.speedway95racing.com/
It was sooooo much fun. On the way to Bangor we passed this beat up old car on a trailer. It said "Wacky Wednesday" (which is exactly what yesterday turned out to be.) So, we followed it to the raceway, ate dinner at Dysarts truckstop and settled in for some good redneck fun :)~
My sweetie sure knows how to show a girl a good time...

Fishing

Well, Jack has been exposed to the virus of fishing. Joe, Dad and Jack went out for some male bonding on Monday and all 3 of them caught fish. Jack looks so serious. It kills me how fast he is growing up...

The Wall

Joe has been very busy working on a granite retaining wall in front of our new home. It is a lot of work. All of the chipping is done by hand and so far it is looking great!

The Zoo

We visited the Acadia Zoo today.

It was actually a lot of fun. Jack had no idea it was really small. He did notice however, that it was stinky:) Rakeleigh was so content to ride on my back the entire time. Mom came with us too. Here are some pics...

Rakeleigh

This is my girlie girl in training. . . . except I don't know who is training her... She talks all the time. She loves purses, hats and shoes but she's not afraid to get dirty. I think we will be ok.
Just this week she has decided she doesn't want to go to sleep anymore. I've tried holding, rocking, letting her cry it out but she is just fighting nap and bed. I guess she just has things to do.

Jack

What can I say? Preschoolers are so much fun. Jack told me I was his "best girl ever!" It doesn't get any sweeter than that. Lately, we have been busy with all kinds of things. The teacher in me is screaming to get out. Fortunately, he is a good kid with a relatively long attention span.

Sometimes everything goes along as planned...

Other times....not so much....

I could write a book and not a blog just about each one of the kids but I thought I would send a few pics on each just to get you guys caught up to speed.

Miss you

rain, rain...

It has been raining all day. The house seems to close in quick when the weather is bad. We ran errands and hung out with mom and dad for a while. Other than that it was a pretty low key day. Here are some pictures of the place. We will be working on it for quite a long time, I fear.
Sorry the pictures are all sideways. Just lift your screen and turn...
Not too bad if you are using a laptop!! Well, anyway... I love y'all. Miss you.

well, i have uploaded a picture for this page and the last one. So far I have tried 4 times with no avail. I wonder where it went??? It is a pretty funny picture so maybe it will show up and make someone laugh. I am not laughing...I am getting mad about all of this blog stuff... well, that is it for me tonight. I miss y'all... cheryl

welcome to keeneyville

So setting up a blog was pretty painless...maybe I am getting the hang of this computer thing...hahaha

My brother and his 9 year old are actually the trend setters and I thought I would jump on board so that we could share pics and keep in touch. Maybe this will work.

oh well...problem # 1 I stuck the memory stick in a big hole(it said memory stick) but it was too big...then I had to find a flashlight and tweezers to try to get it out. While I was doing that Joe saw me and well...I won't get into what happened next. Maybe it won't be as easy as I first thought...
